A completely controlled chassis, engine and driveline package brings the cost to a level that has not been seen in a full sized category of racing in many years. With a full chassis, simple yet tune-able suspension, affordable components and a bullet proof drive line OZ Truck Stock Car Racing is fast, close and more fun than you can imagine.
Utilizing years of chassis building experience in the U.S the chassis is strong, the components are simple and affordable, so even major accidents bring with them tiny repair costs compared to a factory shell based race car. Fibreglass panels, steel lightweight wheels, and simple electronics complete the cost effective package. You won’t be frightened to have a dive down the inside in one of these!
A fully tune-able set up makes it still the true racers play thing. Ride height adjustable coilover shock absorbers on every corner, fully adjustable, front suspension, Anti-dive, wheel alignment, fully adjustable 3 link rear-end with adjustable roll-centre completes the package.
How is the Oz Truck Stock Car Racing Category Controlled ?
The Oz Truck category is controlled through the specification of control components on all aspects of the chassis, body and driveline. The onus is on the driver and crew to tune the truck to suit the specific track conditions and extract the maximum performance from the truck on the day.
Engines are purchased through Oz Truck already sealed, engines are maintained, repaired and resealed by the category appointed engine builder.
Tyres are controlled spec Goodyear slicks purchased through Oz Truck.
Fuel is controlled to ensure equal performance and longevity of category engines.
Data acquisition is allowed in testing only and is limited in the amount and location of sensors fitted and the optional wiring harness that can be fitted to the Truck.
Where Can I Race an Oz Truck ?
An Oz Truck can be raced within the QR Sedans category at 7 rounds per year at both Queensland Raceway and Lakeside Raceway, when a sufficient quantity of entrants are received Oz Truck will run as a standalone category.
What License Do I Need to Race an Oz Truck ?
Oz Truck will run under the Australian Auto Sport Alliance licensing system, details are available at www.aasa.com.au
