The Oz Truck's continue to impress all that see them with some solid displays of speed at the Final rounds of the QRDC and irace seasons. (Check out our youtube page for some interesting footage).
With four more trucks on their way the interest that the trucks bring every time they turn a lap shows no sign of slowing up.
Impressive lap times at both Lakeside (QLD) and Eastern Creek (NSW) showed that, for the money, the impressive little trucks are hard to beat.
A panhard failure at Eastern Creek caused a DNF for the first time, but as Greg McIntyre said, “This is the advantage of introducing the class the way Graham and I have. We get to find these little weak spots before we have 20 trucks here. This way we re-designed the failed component and have all trucks from this point manufactured with the up-grade”. The trucks currently on order will have the panhard mount modified to the new design before leaving the U.S next week.
Unfortunately, although the strong dollar has made the trucks an even more cost effective proposition, the weak U.S dollar has forced the truck manufacturer to raise the price, and with Oz Truck keeping their margins extremely tight, they will have no choice but to pass that increase on.
Oz Truck have a stock truck coming, white with black tin which is the last brand new truck at the $69k USD price. Trucks ordered after these arrive will be $74k USD plus GST. “With the dollar currently running at, or close to, one for one the trucks are still the most affordable bang for you buck in the country” says Graham. “Even at $74k they are cheaper than a few months ago given the exchange rate” he continued.
The Oz Truck team has also made the 85 truck available to anyone who can’t wait the 6/7 weeks for delivery. The 85 truck has done around 4 hours work, and will come with new front panels and spare wheels and tyres. It will be fitted with all new brakes and tyres. Ring Greg if you’re interested in the 85 truck, and he will fill you in on the details.
Keep your eye on the web site (www.oztruck.com) for updates and more test drive opportunities over the New Year period. The guys are also working on the calendar for the New Year; an Oz Truck points score will certainly be part of the New Year program.
Give the guys a call or drop them an email with any questions you may have on any aspect of “Oz Truck Stock Car Racing”. The guys are always willing to chat and thank those who have sent emails of support for the future of the class.
LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE.
September 2010

The Oz Truck Team has been busy over the last month, after their amazing debut at the Queensland i-race round and the following Speedweek appearance. The interest in Australia’s newest class of motorsport has reached new highs that have left Greg and Graham looking for another day in the week to field the enquiries.
The hard work is starting to pay off as the motorsport die hards are coming out of the woodwork to take a glimpse at what has proved to be a return to the old days of door to door, loud and fast, exciting motorsport.
A Brisbane based business owner started the rush after seeing the trucks at Queensland Raceway and placing an order, and with the flexible ordering system that Oz Truck has in place this future racer could see no excuse for not stepping up and staking his claim to be (along with Wayne “Milo” Miles) one of the first to get involved. “With the fool proof purchase system the boys have in place, and after looking at the truck up close and seeing the incredible build quality, how could you not be involved” he said after finishing the simple purchase agreement with Oz Truck.
A couple of blue collar business men from south of the border have also found it hard to go past the trucks, a Father and Son pairing have a couple of matching white trucks on the way, along with red one to find a home in the Garage of a local concrete cutter.
After driving the truck at Q.R one of the experienced racers claimed “this thing is the most fun you could have with your pants on!”
The Oz Truck team has ordered a truck for stock also; it will arrive with the others in November.
“To have four trucks on their way, and another order waiting in the wings is a fantastic feeling, these guys can see the advantage of what Greg and I have done to keep the trucks fast and affordable, and with the Aussie dollar so strong at the moment, the trucks are incredible value” said a busy, but enthusiastic Graham.
The trucks make incredible sense at the moment, with the dollar above 92 US cents the trucks are now only costing around $74k Australian. That’s a lot of racecar for the money.
If a truck is where you see your racing continuing, call the Oz Truck guys with any questions you have.
Oh, and just in case you hadn't already noticed we have now added an orders page. We have added this page to keep you informed with current truck orders and availability. You can access this page from the top menu or click here.
So....
LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE.
August 2010
The Oz Trucks made their presence felt at the recent Queensland Raceway round of the Q.R.D.C, which combined with the latest round of the i-Race series on the 14th and 15th of August.
The Miles Racing Oz Truck joined Graham Struber in the Oz Truck Team truck to put on what could only be described as a dominant display, with Chaz Mostert winning the weekend in the Miles Racing entry. Mostert’s best lap of 1.16.31 around the national circuit is a credit to his ability and the awesome potential of the Oz Truck.
The somewhat older Graham Struber showed that even a part-time pretend driver can look the part in these awesome little trucks. Struber’s best time of 1.17.83 made him the 2nd quickest vehicle there by at least 2 seconds.
When the racing began the Oz Trucks had managed to put themselves 1 and 2 on the grid, but with neither driver having ever done a standing start, both trucks stalled off the line. Somehow luck and a fair amount of skill on other driver’s parts meant the entire field managed to slip by the two stationary trucks. Mostert and Struber then drove a brilliant race to pass the entire field finishing first and second.
A later race saw a mishap between Struber’s truck and a faster starting Clubman. With the grill section removed Struber continued in the race but the effect of the air being caught under the hood section made the truck a handful and Struber retired one lap from the end. The truck was then repaired between races, a simple re-attach by Greg McIntyre, 8 pop-rivets, had the truck looking like new. Incredible given the impact. A testimony to the ease and low costs of running this type of race car. Mostert continued for another win.
Both Mostert and Struber could barely contain their excitement every time they returned to the pits, drawing with them a crowd eager to look over and educate themselves on what these new trucks are about, showing that Oz Truck has a huge future as the fastest and most entertaining of the state level classes.
You can download a running cost sheet for the weekend. This is a true cost of what Oz Truck spent to race their truck for the weekend. Remember that the tyres will do another race meeting, as will the front brakes. The panel damage was only minor. Oz Truck has included costs to replace those panels, although most racers would probably chose to simply repair the fiberglass rather than replace.
Oz Truck is proving itself to be all that Greg and Graham had hoped. Fast, Affordable, and very spectacular.
Get involved, LET’S MAKE SOME NOISE.

August 2010

Oz Trucks will be running as part of the Q.R.D.C for the first time this weekend the 14th, 15th August at Queensland Raceway in Round 4 of the Championship, as the I Race Series is running in conjunction with the Q.R.D.C. The trucks will be running in the HDT Muscle Division, this will bring some stiff competition from the I Race entrants including a VY Commodore V8 Supercar plus the usual suspects from the Q.R.D.C Series. Although the trucks are very early in their development we are expecting them to run at the front of the pack, recent testing from both the East Coast Traffic Control Racing Team and Graham Struber in the Oz Truck owned truck indicate the trucks are capable of running the times necessary to be contenders.
The trucks are available for $69,000 U.S and with the Australian Dollar currently sitting above the 90 cents mark the trucks are better value for money than ever, anyone considering placing an order for a truck would be wise to take advantage of the current Australian dollar.
The Oz Truck team are also making the #85 truck available for potential customers to test drive at the general practice session on the Friday 13th before the meeting, if you would like to book yourself a session in the truck or enquire about other test drive options please contact us before Friday to do so. There is a second opportunity for a test drive the following week, Wednesday the 18th August at Morgan Park for current C.A.M.S license holders only, bookings can be made at the track on Friday the 13th.
For those people who have not yet seen a truck in the flesh or running on the track the Oz Truck Team would like to invite you to attend the track on Friday to meet Greg and Graham, the Oz Truck promotional girl, talk to other drivers interested in the category and have a look at the trucks up close. Greg says “once people see the trucks running they will be blown away by how good they look, the unique sound from the big cube stroker engine and how stable they are on the track through the braking zone and corners, they really do look like they are doing it so easy, yet the times they are producing are sensational for such a simple race car” If you would like to talk to other interested people we ask you to attend from 10am-2pm Friday, there will be food and drinks available and we will make sure the #85 truck is on the track between these times so everybody gets to see it run.
Our truck suppliers in the U.S have been hard at work building more trucks since they despatched the first two Oz Trucks (see photos below) they currently have two more trucks, a red bodied truck and another white bodied truck ready for despatch, as well as one yellow truck and one silver truck currently being assembled, bodies are also available in blue or black and any of the available coloured bodies can be fitted to a chassis and the truck despatched within a week from receiving an order.

Please call Graham (ph 0417 004 917) or Greg (ph 0408 742 111) with any enquiries.
Till next time.
The OzTruck Team.
July 2010

The Oz Truck team continued their push to create a stand alone action packed category by displaying the No 85 Oz Trucks awesome potential at the “Shannon’s Muscle Car Spectacular” at Queensland Raceway last month.
Graham drove the truck conservatively to 2nd place in the over 5ltr sprint class and with some 1.17 lap time’s on the Friday Practice the white and blue truck was certainly a talking point for all in attendance, even some very experienced and seasoned competitors showed strong interest in the trucks potential and the future of the class.
Fielding enquiries from past and present racers kept the Oz Truck team busy all weekend. The next few months will be a busy time for the team as racers put together budgets and get themselves ready for the New Year.
Graham and Greg encourage anyone interested in purchasing a truck or wanting to discuss any aspects of the class to call or email. No question is to simple or complex. The guys believe in this being the most talked about race class over the next 12 months. So jump on board and be part of the evolution of Australian motorsport.
The American version of Oz Truck showed its true circuit potential last week by winning not only its class but taking the overall win in the “Western Endurance Racing Championship” three hour enduro held at “Buttonwillow Raceway Park”. The No 66 Jägermeister sponsored truck was the class of the field, which included some prototype circuit racers and an array of European and U.S race bred cars.

June 2010
We thank you for your interest in this exciting and dynamic new racing category we are introducing to Australia. A lot of time, effort and expense has gone into making Oztruck a reality and ensuring we stay true to our philosophy of creating the most affordable, exciting and close racing series available in Australia.
It has been a long time coming and we here at Oztruck are very excited by the results of our first track sessions with the new trucks. The trucks look fantastic and have been drawing a crowd wherever they go.
Oz Truck has run the Trucks at Lakeside Raceway in a Sprint Practice session on the 22nd of May.
Our own truck, and the Truck owned by Miles Racing ran in the morning sessions. Both vehicles preformed faultlessly and with Chas Mostert at the wheel of the Miles machine and Graham Struber doing the driving in the OzTruck owned truck impressive lap times were recorded.
Particularly given neither driver has had any experience around the Lakeside circuit and the trucks had a very basic, un-developed set-up in them. 58.1sec and 58.2sec lap time were recorded respectively.
The trucks turned 20-30 laps each with no maintenance or problems encountered. Both trucks barely wore the factory marking off the tyres. Which means that tyre wear, even around a tyre hungry circuit like lakeside will be very minimal. Neither could wipe the smiles from their faces.
Oz Truck is investigating a drive day currently. This day would be available to anyone holding an open AASA licence or a Cams Circuit licence.
A two-tiered program is being looked at. A morning session, comprising of laps in a streetcar leading to a number of laps behind the wheel of an Oz Truck. The Afternoon session would comprise of more laps in the truck. Those wishing to take part in a complete day program would have the price of the second half refunded if they then purchased a truck. Please list your expressions of interest by emailing graham@oztruck.com.
We have had many enquiries regarding the price. We had hoped to have this information available sooner, however extreme fluctuations in our dollar against the US dollar has made this almost impossible.
We have now decided our only option is to list the trucks at a U.S Dollar price. If we were to try and stick to a fixed Aus Dollar price we would need to dramatically increase our margins to cover these fluctuations. This goes against our philosophy of keeping costs as low as possible for our competitors.
All the parts listed on the Web Site will remain in Australian Dollars and we will absorb any difference.
So,
A complete OzTruck, ready to race, four wheels and tyres, seat, in your choice of 5 colours.
$US 69,000 plus GST. Landed at the Oz Truck shop at Morayfield Queensland.
Oz Truck currently has a truck in stock (OzTruck sign written truck in the photos) and it is available for immediate delivery. Trucks are readily available ex the US. Allow 7 weeks for delivery.
Please don’t hesitate, lets get some real door to door racing going again, without the out of control costs.
See you at the track
The OzTruck Team.

The OzTruck Team is now busy preparing the new Trucks. A full report will soon appear on these pages.
March 2010
The OzTruck Team, Greg McIntyre and Graham Struber have realised a huge step in the Development of the Newest Circuit Racing Category in Australia.
The First two OzTruck’s have left the United States bound for Brisbane.
An extremely excited Graham Struber stated " the truck’s look better than I could have possibly imagined ", as they were loaded at Long Beach, California. They now have a six week journey to Brisbane, before being put through their paces at a shakedown day shortly after they arrive.
The first truck has been purchased by Wayne “Milo” Miles and will be delivered to him officially upon arrival after a seat fitting at the Oz Truck, Morayfield, workshop.
The second truck will be put on display and a test drive day will be held to help generate interest in the category in late April / early May.
Details of the drive day will be available on the Web site in the coming weeks.
The drive day will be a first in, first served basis (although preference will be given to people on the Oz Truck mail out list, register here before you leave!). A tiered pricing structure will be used depending on the individual’s expectation and final intentions. Details of this will be available soon.
A full range of spares and a stock of the Good Year racing tyres have also been sent so the trucks arrive with ready access to spares and tyres.
Wayne hopes to Debut his truck at the Q.R.D.C Round at Queensland Raceway on the 23rd of April.
February 2010
Brand New Trucks to leave the U.S. Early February
Two brand new OzTruck’s are nearing completion at the factory in Los Angeles. The first of the trucks, purchased by East Coast Traffic Control Group owner Wayne “Milo” Miles and a second truck owned by OzTruck are in the final stages of the build.
Only a Db noise test and the final body panels remain to be fitted before the first trucks will be shipped to Australia via Long Beach.
The Australian spec trucks will be running e85 fuel in the 385ci Chevrolet Engines. OzTruck is bringing a comprehensive spares inventory and stocks of tyres and wheels to ensure that the trucks will have the backup they require.
The second truck is available for purchase or lease (full season).
Upon purchase, OzTruck offer the new owner a fitment service which comprises of seat placement and steering column modifications to ensure that the new owner is completely comfortable in his new office.
